Description

Plastic-elastic coating based on elastic vinyl copolymers for waterproofing vertical and horizontal surfaces, with fibers to reinforce their properties.

Surface repair

• On all types of support: In case of contamination by mold, fungi, algae and other parasitic elements, proceed as follows:

1.- Wash with a 10% solution of water and bleach.

2.- Rinse with water. 3.-Let dry completely before starting to paint. 4.- Apply the waterproofing agent diluted to 40% as a primer. . 5.- Use products that prevent the formation of mold. In the event of saline efflorescence (saltpeter): 1.- Brush and wash with a 10% HCl solution or zinc sulfate. 2.- Rinse with water. 3.- Let drycompletely before starting to paint. These operations must be carried out observing the corresponding security measures.

• On new, unpainted substrates: On any surface where this paint must be applied, the first thing that is required is a thorough cleaning: rubbing with a hard brush and with a 5% hydrochloric or nitric acid solution in water, in this way ensures a perfect cleaning and opens pore. Then clean with water and wait for the surface to dry. When it is clean and dry, a fiber mesh is spread and fixed by applying a first coat with a mixture containing 60% waterproofing and 40% water. In this way we provide a perfect anchoring to the support. Subsequently two coats are applied, the first diluted 15% and the last 5-10%. By means of this procedure a layer between 1 and 2 mm is achieved, which would be sufficient to ensure a good seal. These same steps must be extended over 20 or 30 cm of the surrounding wall, in such a way as to avoid leaks at the junctions between terraces and walls due to structural movements of the building.

• On painted surfaces: If you are going to paint on previously painted surfaces, make sure that the paint is in good condition. If not, it must be completely removed and proceed as if it were a new, unpainted support. If the paint is old or poorly adhered with the presence of defects suchsuch as: chalking, blisters, chipping, cracking ..., it must be completely removed before painting and then apply a 40% diluted waterproofing control and then two coats, the first diluted to 15% and the second to 5-10%.

Application mode

Brush or roller, directly in new construction or by prior preparation of already painted surfaces. Do not apply on substrates whose temperature is below 5ºC, or excessively hot. Similarly, do not apply with a relative humidity greater than 80%, or with strong wind or low risk of rain.

Perfectly homogenize the contents of the container. The surfaces to be painted must be clean, dry and totally free of dust and grease. Care must be taken to ensure that the surfaces where it is applied are completely dry and do not leak. Apply a first coat as a primer of the product diluted in the proportion of three parts of waterproofing with two parts of water. Subsequently two coats are applied, the first diluted in 15% water and the last with 5 - 10% water. Do not apply with anticipation of rain, since when the paint gets wet without being completely dry, its components may dissolve, which may cause the appearance of spots / shine (snail slime effect).

Observations

When greater resistance is needed, it is advisable to reinforce the waterproofing with fiber mesh. The surface to be painted must bener a 3% incline to avoid water tightness. Tiling is not recommended. Stir the container well before use. Keep the container in a place free from humidity and away from extreme temperature conditions, this should be between approximately 5 - 35ºC and in a covered place, in this way the storage time is 24 months.
