Description

Adhesive based on a PVC resin in solution specially formulated for joining rigid and flexible PVC to each other in pipes, elbows, sleeves, joints, etc., in canalization, sanitation, swimming pools or irrigation works.

Properties

This product is suitable for pipelines for conducting fluids under pressure and can be used in joints with gaps of up to 0.6 mm.

Specifications

It complies with the UNE-EN 14814 standard: Adhesives for piping systems of thermoplastic materials for pressurized liquid fluids, with a nominal pressure of 16 bar.

Indications of use

Tubes must be chamfered and deburred prior to gluing to ensure a strong and durable joint. Clean the surfaces to be glued using SINTEX CLEANER PVC. Surfaces must be dry before applying adhesive. Shake SINTEX ADHESIVO PVC-U before using. The adhesive should flow slowly from the brush. Apply an even layer of adhesive, first to the inner tube and then to the outer tube, applying generously to the pipe joint. Quickly join parts and butt fit tubes and fittings without twisting, holding tightly until adhesive has eaten.go to dry. The open time of the adhesive depends on the ambient temperature, but it is recommended to bond between 2 and 5 minutes after the adhesive is applied, depending on the environmental conditions. It is recommended to wait at least 24 hours before pressurizing the pipes. It is not advisable to make joints below 5ºC. If it was essential, it would be necessary to carry out a previous conditioning of the pipes and materials to be glued.

Storage

It is recommended to store the product between 5 and 30ºC. Duration: 24 months in hermetically sealed original containers.
