How to use
nderline;">General recommendations: Stir well in the container, preferably by mechanical process. The surfaces to be painted must be clean, dry and consistent. Let the mixture rest for 15 minutes before using it to favor the elimination of air. maximum repainting limit, to ensure adherence between coats, a soft blasting (Sand Sweeping) should be carried out, until giving a slight roughness to the primed surface.
Unprepared surfaces:
- Steel: deoxidize by abrasive blasting to the Sa 2½ grade of the ISO 8501-1 standard or manual or mechanical cleaning to the ST3 grade of the same standard. Degrease and remove dust and rust residue. Apply the necessary primer coats up to the recommended thickness. In environments with high corrosion, it is recommended to apply our Micaceous Iron Epoxy Primer 832 as an intermediate layer, prior to finishing with one of our polyurethanes. Finally, apply the finishing coats according to specifications.
- Galvanized Steel or non-ferrous metals: clean, degrease and apply 1 coat of primer. Depending on the quality of galvanizing, it will be necessary to open the pore.
- Other surfaces: consult.
Maintenance of already painted surfaces in poor condition: In the case of poorly adhered systems, and/or with the presence of rust, remove by abrasive blasting to the Sa 2½ grease of the ISO 8501-2 standard or manual or mechanical cleaning to the ST 3 grade of the same norm. Patch next with the corresponding primer, preferably by brush. Apply a general coat of the same primer and then apply the finish according to specification.
