Description

One-component polyurethane adhesive that cures in contact with humidity in the air. The foam has been produced in accordance with the ISO 9001:2008 standard.

Characteristic

Tejas polyurethane foam has been specially developed for the installation of ceramic and concrete tiles - both on new or renovated roofs. Thanks to its modern formulation, the product provides a lasting bond between ceramic, concrete and wood materials and the rest of the materials used in the installation of roofs. Also recommended for gluing tiles to roof insulating plates.

  1. Efficient Product – coverage of up to 12 m 2 of the roof surface.
  2. Low expansion, low pressure formula.
  3. Approved product for tile bonding.
  4. Strong, durable bonds that are resistant to aging and extreme temperatures.
  5. Resistant to strong gusts of wind up to 110 km/h.
  6. Ready to use and easy to apply.
  7. Replace mortar, nails or screws.
  8. Facilitates replacement of damaged shingles.
  9. New Valve – better blockage resistance
  10. Longer shelf life – 18 months.

Before application, read the safety instructions given at the end of this Technical Data Sheet and in the Safety Sheet.

1. SURFACE PREPARATION

The foam especially adheres to typical construction materials such as: brick, concrete, plaster, wood, metals, Styrofoam, hard PVC and rigid polyurethane tubing.

• The work surface must be clean and degreased.

• Spray the work surface with water (with a garden sprinkler for example).

• Protect exposed surfaces from possible accidental contamination by applying the foam.

2. PRODUCT PREPARATION

• If a pot is too cold, it will have to be brought to room temperature. For example, immersing it in warm water at a temperature of 30°C or leaving it at room temperature for at least 24 hours.

3. APPLICATION

• Wear protective gloves.

• Shake bottle vigorously (10 - 20 seconds, valve upside down) to thoroughly mix components.

• Screw the bottle onto the applicator.

• The working position of the boat is “valve upside down”.

• Fill the vertical gaps with foam from bottom to top.

• fill the gap with approximately 1/2 of the volume as the foam expands.

• Gaps greater than 3 cm are not recommended for air-sealing carpentry.free. Gaps greater than 5 cm are unacceptable. Gaps greater than 3 cm must be filled with vertical coats, making sure before applying another coat that the previously applied one has respected the preliminary processing time and that it has been sprayed with water.

• Spray the surface of the applied foam with water (with a garden sprinkler for example).

• If application is interrupted for more than 5 minutes, clean applicator nozzle containing fresh foam with polyurethane foam cleaner and shake can before use.

• In the event that the foam dries up in the applicator, the tip of the applicator should be cut, which would allow you to resume working with the foam.

4. WORKS AFTER COMPLETING THE APPLICATION

• Immediately after complete hardening of the foam, it must be secured against exposure to UV rays using eg plaster or paint.

• If the foam has not been completely spent, the applicator and valve should be cleaned with polyurethane foam cleaner after the job is complete.

5. NOTES / RESTRICTIONS

IT IS FORBIDDEN TO INSTALL DOORS WITHOUT MECHANICAL LINKAGE. LACK OF MECHANICAL COUPLING COULD CAUSE DEFORMATION OF THE INSTALLED ELEMENT.

  • The curing process depends on temperature and humidity. The decrease in ambient temperaturefor 24 h after application below the minimum application temperature may affect the quality and/or accuracy of the joint.
  • Hasty attempts at preliminary treatment can cause irreversible changes in the foam structure and its stability as well as affect the deterioration of the foam's utility parameters.
  • The foam does not adhere to polyethylene, polypropylene, polyamide, silicone or Teflon.
  • Remove fresh foam with polyurethane foam cleaner.
  • Cured foam may only be removed mechanically (eg with a knife).
  • The quality and technical conditions of the applicator used will influence the parameters of the final product.
  • Do not use the foam in spaces where there is no fresh air or poor ventilation or in places exposed to direct sunlight.
  • The manufacturer recommends using the entire contents of the container a single strip of foam (at one time), because in the event that the foam dries up in the applicator, it would not be possible to reuse it.
