Description
Quick-drying antioxidant primer with zinc phosphate and a combination of highly waterproof resins, especially suitable for any type of materials submerged in the sea.
Fields of application
It is a primer with good adhesion on very different substrates, such as iron, aluminum, stainless steel, copper, bronze, brass, wood and polyester. In some cases, as in certain stainless steel, it may be necessary to sand the surface to open pores. It is recommended as a primer, in submerged environments for marine protection.
How to use
General recommendations:Agitate the spray vigorously for 1 minute after the mixing balls sound. The surfaces to be painted must be clean, dry and degreased.
Apply in thin and crossed layers, from a distance of 25 to 30cm. Applying two thin layers, instead of a thick one, you will get a better protection and a more homogeneous finish. Always paint at a temperature 3ºC higher than the dew point.
Unprepared surfaces:
- Polyester: Degrease thoroughly con TITAN Yacht Diluent, lightly sand and remove dust before applying 1 coat of Marine Primer li>
- Wood: Apply one or two coats of Marine Primer on dry and sanded surfaces.
- Iron: Remove rust, grease, dirt and once it is dry, apply two coats of Marine Primer.
- Submerged iron: In the case of submerged iron, consult previously in each case.
- Non-ferrous metals: Degrease and dry. Then apply the 1 layer of Marine Primer. When stainless steel is to be primed, it must, according to the quality of it, be previously sanded in order to improve the adhesion.
Maintenance of painted surfaces in poor condition:Remove completely with paint remover, followed by a wash with fresh water and proceed as on unprepared surfaces.
