Indications of use
Meeting Formation: strong>
In bottomless joints, it is necessary to use a support material such as our POLITEN-CEL, closed cell expanded polyethylene cord, which does not cause atypical elongations in the sealant and allows to regulate the depth of the seal. To give a suitable geometry, as flat as possible, to the bottom of the joint, it is convenient that the diameter of POLITEN-CEL is at least 25% greater than the width of the joint. The surface finish will be done with a flat spatula, so that the newly applied material has a flat surface.
Preparation of the joints: strong>
The surfaces to be sealed must be firm, dry and free of dust, grease and residues of old sealers and other foreign matter. It is recommended a mechanical cleaning to clean the board and cleaning with non-greasy solvent to remove oils and other fatty substances.
Work technique: strong>
Cut the end of the cartridge seal, screw the cannula and cut it to the desired section. Insert the assembly into an applicator gun. Rest the end of the cannula on the joint and slide it overta, replenish it with SINTESEL MADERA. Smooth the surface with a flat spatula, attempting to chip the sealant into the joint. Protect the sealant from the action of the rain during the 2 or 5 hours following its application. The product achieves its final color once cured.
Superior treatment:
SINTESEL MADERA, admits to be painted and varnished. It is recommended that the paint or varnish to be used be elastic to avoid possible cracking. Performance: In formed joints, the following formula can be used: L = 300 / A x P;
Where: L = Seal length in m. A = Joint width in mm. P = Depth of the joint in mm.
