How to use
Preparation
The surfaces to be varnished must be dry and clean.
New wood
Apply in thin layers. The number of hands depends on the finish you want to achieve. It is advisable to sand lightly between layers to eliminate possible surface imperfections and improve adhesion. The varnish is dry to be sanded after a time of 3 to 12 hours, depending on the environmental humidity. When between layers the waiting period is long, it is advisable to sand vigorously.
Already varnished woods
On old varnish, the surface should be sanded more strongly before applying XYLAZEL EXTRA VARNISH SOILS, to favor a good grip. With unknown old varnishes it is advisable to apply a small compatibility test before applying. Sometimes, during the drying of the varnishes a "pitting" is formed, as small bubbles of air remain inside the film. We must ensure that the wood is dry when varnishing and apply the varnish in thin layers (50 microns dry or less), avoiding a consumption greater than 120 g / m2 (8 m2 / L). In floors that have been waxed or cleaned with polish, remove the rests with solvent before applying XYLAZEL VARNISH EXTRA SOILS.
performance
8 - 15 m2 / L and per hand depending on the layer thickness you want to give.
