• On all types of support:

In case of contamination by mould, fungi, algae and other parasitic elements, proceed as follows:

1.- Wash with a solution of water and 10% bleach.

2.- Rinse with water.

3.-Let dry completely before starting to paint.

4.- Apply the waterproofing agent diluted at 40% as a primer. .

5.- Use products that prevent the formation of mold.

In case of presence of saline efflorescence (saltpetre):

1.- Brush and wash with a 10% HCl or zinc sulfate solution.

2.- Rinse with water.

3.- Let dry completely before starting to paint.

These operations must be carried out observing the corresponding security measures.

• On new unpainted supports:

On any surface where this paint must be applied, the first thing that is required is a thorough cleaning: rubbing with a hard brush and with a 5% solution of hydrochloric or nitric acid in water, in this way a perfect cleanliness is ensured and it opens pore. Then clean with water and wait for the surface to dry. When it is clean and dry, a fiberglass mesh is spread out and fixed by applying a first coat with a mixture containing 60% waterproofing and 40% water. In this way we provide a perfect anchorage to the support.

Subsequently, two coats are applied, the first diluted by 15% and the last by 5-10%. Through this procedurea layer of between 1 and 2 mm is achieved, which would be sufficient to ensure good sealing. These same steps must be extended over the 20 or 30 cm of the surrounding wall, in such a way as to avoid leaks at the joints between terraces and walls due to structural movements of the building.

• On painted surfaces:

If you are going to paint over previously painted surfaces, you should take care that the paint is in good condition. If this is not the case, it must be completely eliminated and proceed as if it were a new, unpainted support. If the paint is old or poorly adhered with defects such as: chalking, blisters, chipping, cracking..., it must be completely removed before painting and then apply a coat of 40% diluted waterproofing and then two coats the first diluted to 15% and the second to 5-10%.

Application mode

Brush, roller or spray gun, directly in new construction or by prior preparation of already painted surfaces. Do not apply on supports whose temperature is below 5ºC, or excessively hot. Similarly, do not apply with a relative humidity higher than 80%, or with strong wind or under risk of rain. Perfectly homogenize the contents of the container. The surfaces to be painted must be clean, dry and completely free of dust and grease. It should be carefully monitored that the surfaces where it is applied are complete.completely dry and do not have leaks. Apply a first coat as a primer of the product diluted in the proportion of three parts of waterproofing with two parts of water. Two coats are then applied, the first diluted with 15% water and the last with 5-10% water. Do not apply in anticipation of rain, since when the paint gets wet without being completely dry, it can produce a dissolution of its components, which can cause the appearance of spots/glosses (snail slime effect).
